Not gonna lie: Jean-Paul Sartre is hot.

11:18 pm - GASP! Shameless self-promotion!
I would like, if I may, to formally and officially pimp the following product:
http://www.lulu.com/content/paperback-b
... which contains writing by me, long-time friend Matthew Banach, and eight other incredibly talented and good-looking writers.

02:12 am - Dear Internet,
Here are some things that I think are interesting:
1. There's a brand-new D&D PHB PSA Q&A now online, featuring invaluable advice from fan-favorites such as Stephen of Tyler the Minstrel, Gimble the gnome bard, Chauntea the Goddess of the Earth, Kerwyn the Swashbuckler, and Lady Sorra the Knight!
See it here:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XS_mq_ow
... and then head to the brand new CreativeJuices Fan-Site to read up on the Fun Facts! about this PSA and fraternize with other fans!
(found here: http://creativejuices7.ning.com/forum/t
Fun for the whole family!
2. I commissioned a lovely piece of original artwork for my lady's birthday. It can be seen here:
http://butterfrog.deviantart.com/art/Th
... and if you click on it, you can see the HIGH RES!!! version.
3. Enjoy!

10:24 pm - Things of interest to the interested and/or the interesting:
1: My first published adventure (available HERE!) is apparently doing quite well - it's listed as the current #1 bestseller among Pathfinder Society Scenarios, and listed as the #8 bestseller for all of Paizo's products - or "Paizoducts", as I like to call them.
That ... is pretty fucking cool. Even if it is, as I suspect, the result of a clerical error of some type.
2. Speaking of Paizo and how awesome they are, my good friend Matt Banach is one of the Top 32, currently competing in the 2009 edition of the RPG Superstar! competition that made me the man I am to today.
Okay, fine, Mountain Dew & cigarettes made me the man I am today.
Anyway: check out his awesome submission RIGHT HERE!
... then keep an eye out for his villain, and be sure to VOTE!
3. On the CreativeJuices/PSA front, yesterday officially marked the official release of the Official Unofficially Official CreativeJuices7 Fan Site - check it out, join, post, and share with whomever you like.
Much love to all my LJ peeps, and HAPPY FUCKING BIRTHDAY to my Emmy-Baby!
4. And with that, he vanished in a puff of smoke.

06:58 am - A few updates, for those who find me HALF as fascinating as I do ...
#1 - the good folks over at Kobold Quarterly - most especially Wolfgang Baur, prince among men - have seen fit to publish a villain penned by yours truly; check out the unrelenting horror (instantly adaptable to any ongoing d20 game!) here:
http://www.koboldquarterly.com/k/articl
... check it out, let me know what you think, and let Wolfgang know how awesome his site is!
#2 - speaking of villainy: due to the underhanded evil of a certain WereCabbage who shall remain nameless (it was Craig Shackleton!), I've become addicted to the web-comic series "Least I Could Do" - it's quite brilliant, and neatly shatters every argument I've raised over the last few years about how my people (the nerds, the Trekkers, the LotR-fans, the Brown Coats, ect.) are universally depicted as total losers in popular media. Well played, Shackleton.
#3 - I continue apace with many writing projects for Paizo, that most wonderful of publishing companies; two projects will be turned in very soon, and I can't wait to them to be made available for purchase! Writing for the Golem is a dream come true, and I sometimes have to pinch myself.
Not for any good reason. Just ... sometimes need a good, solid pinching.
#4 - off to bed. It's fucking 7:15 in the morning, you animals - what are you doing still up?

11:34 pm - For those interested in Superstar ...
I would definitely check out this thread on the Paizo Boards:
http://paizo.com/paizo/messageboards/pa
... with special attention paid to this cat:
Clark Peterson Sat. 6:59PM
"If I was entering the contest this year, I would do the following:
1. Read and understand the rules. Don't goof up something that gets
your item insta-kicked.
2. Read the winning items from last year. They are great examples.
3. Read the relevant discussion threads from last year, not just this
year. I GUARANTEE you that last year's contestants would have LOVED to
have had these threads as sources of information. If you fail to use
them you have really passed up a huge resource.
Clark"

01:21 am - RPG Superstar 2009 starts ... NOW!
I encourage everyone to check out this link right here:
http://paizo.com/paizo/messageboards/pa
... and send an entry.
If anyone wants to bounce ideas off of me, brainstorm with me or talk about the experience of Superstar last year, I'd love to chat!

05:04 am - I just realized that I never shared this with all of you!
Here is something horribly offensive, shared with me by Nick Logue:

01:28 pm - I love my life.
I was up until about 5:30 AM last night finishing off an article for the fine folks at Kobold Quarterly - the site can be found here:
http://www.koboldquarterly.com/
... not to jinx it, but you might see what I wrote in a week or two on that very site, and I'll throw an update out if it manifests.
Then I get my ass up at the crack of 10 because the theater needs to be cleaned before noon - goddamn matinee shows of "Madagascar" & "Bolt" are fucking up my whole weekend - only to discover that I'm working 2:15 to 7:30 for the afternoon shows.
Of course, I'm working at the bar tonight from 8 until about 4 AM.
So why am I smiling?
Because I fucking LOVE THIS SHIT. Stressful as it may be on occasion, this is exactly what I want to do with my life. I'm so much happier than I've been before, I don't even know what to do about it.
... oh, wait! Yes, I do! I'm going to go have a cigarette!
